- Account Registration & Contact Information: Name, business name, email address, physical address, country of operation, phone number, and password.
- Business Data: Financial records, inventory logs, sales details, invoices, customer and supplier lists, and other transactions entered into Xetuu Books.
- Integration & Social Media Data (Facebook Developer App): If you choose to log in to Xetuu Books or configure our integrations using Facebook Login, we request and collect the following specific information from the Facebook Login dialog:
- Public Profile: Your name, profile picture, and Facebook User ID. This allows us to authenticate your identity and customize your personal account dashboard.
- Email Address: Your primary Facebook email address. This is used to create your Xetuu Books user account, facilitate secure login, and send important service notifications.
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device details, and usage logs on our platform.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provision, maintain, and secure your Xetuu Books account and subscription.
- To authenticate you and process your sign-in requests (including sign-in via Facebook Login).
- To deliver accounting, invoicing, inventory, CRM, property, and logistics module features.
- To enable integrations like WhatsBot or financial transaction tracking.
- To provide customer support and respond to technical issues.
- To comply with legal obligations (such as KRA eTIMS invoice generation regulations in Kenya).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We only share information with third parties in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Cloud hosting (e.g., database providers), support ticket systems, and secure payment processors who act strictly under our instruction.
- Legal Compliance: When required by local authorities, such as the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), to transmit legally compliant tax invoices, or as mandated by law enforcement.
- Integrations: If you explicitly authorize connection between Xetuu Books and third-party tools (such as Facebook or WhatsApp).

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as required to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or comply with tax, bookkeeping, and legal laws. We implement strict administrative, technical, and physical security measures, including SSL encryption and restricted server access, to guard your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
6. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have rights under privacy laws to access, correct, update, or request the deletion of your personal data. In particular, we support your right to request deletion of data obtained through Facebook Login or general platform services.
How to Request Data Deletion
If you wish to delete your account, your platform data, or the personal data we received via our Facebook Developer App (Facebook Login), you can choose one of the following methods:
Method A: Request Deletion via Email (Manual Deletion)
- Send an email request from your registered email address to support@xetuu.com.
- Specify in the subject line: "Data Deletion Request - [Your Name / Business Name]".
- Our support team will verify your identity and process the deletion of all your user accounts, profile details (including Facebook-derived data), and platform data within 7 business days, notifying you once complete.
Method B: Revoke Facebook App Permissions (Self-Service Deletion)
To disconnect Xetuu Books from your Facebook account and request the cessation of data processing:
- Go to your Facebook account's Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Apps and Websites.
- Locate the Xetuu Books application and click the Remove button.
- Follow the prompts. Facebook will automatically cease transmitting data to our app. If you also wish for the historical profile/email data stored in our system to be purged, please follow the steps in Method A above.
7. Children's Privacy
Our software and integrations are built exclusively for business owners, accountants, and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from anyone under the age of 18.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, integration APIs (including Meta's Platform terms), or local regulations. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
