Know, maintain and depreciate everything your business owns.
Xetuu Fixed Assets is a complete asset management system, not just a register. It records every asset with its location, documents and QR label, runs the lifecycle from capital proposal to disposal, calculates depreciation on up to five books, plans and executes maintenance, enforces safety permits and inspections, measures reliability, and posts the journals to Accounting. It is included in every Xetuu plan, with no per-module fee.

One register for everything you own
Every vehicle, machine, building, laptop and tool has a class, location, custodian, status and history in one place. Print a QR label, stick it on the asset, and anyone can report a fault or look up its passport by scanning it.
Because the register lives in the same system as purchasing and accounting, an asset bought through a purchase order and received into stock appears in the register without retyping a single field.
- Hierarchy from site to component
- Relationships between assets
- Documents, warranties and manuals attached
- Append-only audit trail
Depreciation that matches how you report
Most businesses keep one set of numbers for management, another for tax and a third for their auditors. Xetuu lets each asset carry a book per standard, each with its own method, life and residual value.
Depreciation is calculated monthly. When you map the accounts in Finance Settings, the journals post straight into the general ledger, and disposals post catch-up depreciation, the gain or loss and the removal of cost in the right order.
- Five book types per asset
- Six depreciation methods
- Optional automatic ledger posting
- Asset reports and book comparison
From fault to completed work order
Anyone can report a fault, including by scanning the asset label without logging in. Requests convert to work orders with tasks, parts and labour, and preventive plans create the routine work before anything breaks.
Work orders that need a safety permit stay locked until it is approved, so the safe way is also the default way.
- Requests, work orders and SLAs
- Preventive plans on calendar or meter
- Parts reserved from stock
- Costs rolled up per asset
Retire assets with the books in order
A disposal moves from request to valuation, approval and completion. Sell it, scrap it or auction it with a reserve price; the system works out net book value, books the gain or loss and closes the depreciation books.
- Approval above a threshold you set
- Auctions with reserve and bids
- Insurance policy tracking
- Gain or loss posted to the ledger

Fixed Assets questions, answered
What is fixed asset management software?
It is software that records the assets a business owns, calculates their depreciation, tracks where they are and who has them, schedules their maintenance and records their disposal. Xetuu does all of that and posts the results to your general ledger.
Does Xetuu calculate depreciation?
Yes. Each asset can have a corporate, tax, IFRS, local GAAP and management book. Methods are straight line, declining balance, double declining, sum of years, units of production and custom percentages, calculated monthly.
Does depreciation post to the general ledger?
Yes, once you set the asset cost, accumulated depreciation, expense, proceeds and gain or loss accounts in Finance Settings. Posting is optional and off by default.
Is it a full maintenance system as well?
Yes. It covers requests, work orders, preventive maintenance, a scheduling board, spares, warranties, contracts, safety permits, inspections and reliability.
Can technicians use it on a phone?
Yes. The Technician App is a phone-sized view that keeps working offline and syncs when the connection returns.
Can I import my existing asset register?
Yes. Import assets from a spreadsheet, then use bulk edit to correct classes, locations or custodians in one go.
How much does the asset module cost?
Nothing extra. Fixed Assets is included in every Xetuu plan, which starts at $25 per month for 6 users.
Does it work for businesses in Kenya and the rest of Africa?
Yes. Xetuu is built for African businesses: local statutory setup, local currencies, and pricing that small and growing companies can afford. A Kenya demo data set is available to explore the module.
