Reorder Rules

Suggest purchases when stock runs low.

Overview

A reorder rule sets a minimum level and quantity for a product. When stock falls below it, the system creates a reorder suggestion and alerts procurement.

When to use reorder rules

You want to avoid stock-outs.

Step by step

In the Purchase module open Receiving in the green navigation bar, then choose Reorder Rules under Warehouse.

Permissions

These permission keys control access (granted to roles in Administration → Roles & Permissions):

purchase.order.approve
purchase.order.cancel
purchase.order.confirm
purchase.order.create
purchase.order.delete

purchase.reorder-rules.read
purchase.reorder-rules.update

Automation

Low stock emits inventory.stock.low, which creates a reorder suggestion and notifies procurement.
