  1. 1
Pick your country and business type

On first sign-in the setup wizard asks for your country and business type. Xetuu installs the matching chart of accounts and tax setup and maps the default accounts for you.

  2. 2
    Review the chart of accounts

Open Accounting → Configuration → Accounting → Chart of Accounts. Switch between tree and list view and add any account your business needs.

  3. 3
    Check taxes and payment terms

Under Configuration, open Taxes and Payment Terms. Edit rates to match your tax registration and add the terms you give customers.

  4. 4
    Add your bank accounts

Open Configuration → Bank Accounts and add each account with its currency, so payments and reconciliation have somewhere to land.

  5. 5
    Set the fiscal year

Open Configuration → Management → Fiscal Years and confirm the start month. Later, use Accounting → Management → Lock Dates to close finished periods.

Open Customers → Accounting → Invoices and choose New. Pick the customer, add lines with product, quantity, price and tax. The totals and journal items update as you type.

  3. 3
    Post it

Posting locks the document and writes the journal entry. A posted invoice is never edited; mistakes are corrected with a credit note.

  4. 4
    Record the payment

Open the posted invoice and choose Record Payment, or use Receipts and Payments. A mode of payment is mandatory, so the books always show how the money came in.

  5. 5
    Reconcile

Open Accounting → Management → Reconciliation and match the bank line to the payment. The invoice moves to Paid.
