Deferred Rev/Exp
Spread revenue or expense over the periods it relates to.
Overview
A deferred schedule recognises a contract amount gradually: it shows the total contract, the amount recognised so far, the remaining balance, the period and progress. Use it for annual subscriptions billed in advance or prepaid costs.
Auto-Detect from Invoices & Bills proposes schedules from documents you have already posted.
When to use deferred rev/exp
- You invoice a year in advance.
- You prepay insurance or rent.
