Payments
Record and review payments received against customer invoices.
Overview
Customer payments are the cash side of invoicing. A payment is recorded against one or more posted invoices and reduces their amount due; partial payments move an invoice to Partially paid and full payment to Paid.
A mode of payment is mandatory on every payment. You can filter the list by status and by method.
When to use payments
- A customer settles an invoice, fully or in part.
- You want to see all receipts by method for a period.
Step by step
In the Accounting module open Customers in the green navigation bar, then choose Payments under Accounting.
