Sensors
Register sensors on assets and ingest readings from gateways with an API key.
Overview
A sensor belongs to an asset and has a type, unit, valid range and expected cadence; freshness shows Online, Stale or Offline. Machines post readings with an API key; each sample is validated, duplicates are ignored and unknown sensors are reported per row. A sensor linked to a meter feeds usage and condition-based PM with no extra setup.
When to use sensors
- You connect temperature, vibration, flow or other live data.
