How pay is calculated.
Overview
A salary structure defines the earnings, deductions and statutory rules applied to an employee’s pay. Payslips are calculated from the structure on the employee’s contract.
When to use salary structures
- You set up pay.
Step by step
In the Hr module open Payroll Mgmt in the green navigation bar, then choose Salary Structures under Configuration.

What you see on the screen
- Actions on the screen: + Add Structure.
Permissions
These permission keys control access (granted to roles in Administration → Roles & Permissions):
- hr.salary-structures.create
- hr.salary-structures.read
- hr.salary-structures.update
