TOIL
Time off in lieu of overtime.
Overview
TOIL records time off earned instead of overtime pay and the entries that use it. Log a TOIL entry to add to or draw from a balance.
When to use toil
- Overtime is paid in time, not money.
Step by step
In the Hr module open Leave Mgmt in the green navigation bar, then choose TOIL under Leave.

What you see on the screen
- Actions on the screen: Leave, Log TOIL Entry.
Permissions
These permission keys control access (granted to roles in Administration → Roles & Permissions):
- hr.leave.approve
- hr.leave.create
- hr.leave.delete
- hr.leave.read
- hr.leave.update
