My Requests

Apply for leave, see the days it will use, and track it through manager and HR approval.

Overview

A leave request takes days from the employee’s allocation for that leave type and year the moment it is submitted, so two requests can never spend the same balance. Working days exclude weekends and public holidays unless the leave type says otherwise.

The status of a request is controlled only by the approval workflow. It always starts as Pending Manager, whatever is sent from the form. Only a request still waiting for the manager can be edited; after that, cancel it and apply again.

My Requests in the HR module.

When to use my requests

  • An employee wants time off.
  • HR or an owner is applying on behalf of an employee (choose the employee).

Prerequisites

Step by step

Leave Mgmt → My Requests → Apply. Choose the type and the dates; the working-day count and remaining balance are shown. A half day must start and end on the same day.
Screenshot for this step has not been captured yet — run npm run docs:flow.
