Acquisition

Create assets from confirmed stock receipts, one asset per unit received.

Overview

Acquisition reads confirmed Inventory receipts (every Purchase goods receipt produces one) and turns them into assets with cost (line subtotal divided by quantity), supplier, purchase order, date and serial numbers carried over. A line can never create more assets than units received. Products of type Asset can acquire automatically.

When to use acquisition

• Equipment arrives through Purchase and must be registered.

• A confirmed goods receipt in Purchase or Inventory

1. 1Open AcquisitionIn Assets, open Lifecycle → Plan & Acquire → Acquisition.
