Capital Proposals
Propose a capital purchase, check it against budget, get approval and convert it into planned assets.
Overview
A capital proposal lists the assets you want to buy, with parent and child lines. On submit the proposal is checked against the CAPEX budget (warn, block or off, per setting) and sent through the approval engine. Once approved, Convert creates the planned asset structure linked to the proposal. A replacement proposal links the new asset to the old one and marks the old one as under replacement decision.
When to use capital proposals
- You plan a capital purchase and need a documented approval.
- You are replacing an existing asset.
Prerequisites
- A CAPEX budget (Finance → Budgets) if you want headroom checks
