Budgets

CAPEX and OPEX envelopes that proposals and maintenance spend are checked against.

Overview

A budget is a period envelope. CAPEX consumption is approved proposals plus acquisitions not from a proposal; OPEX is maintenance spend. Checks warn or block depending on settings. There is no separate Budgeting module, so these are controls, not a full budget system.

When to use budgets

• You want headroom checks on capital proposals.
