Import

Bring assets in from a CSV or XLSX file with a dry run, column mapping and rollback.

Overview

Import runs in stages: upload the file, remap columns, review a dry run that lists every problem row, then commit. The commit runs as a background job and can be rolled back.

When to use import

• You migrate an existing asset list into the register.

Permissions

These permission keys control access (granted to roles in Administration → Roles & Permissions):

• assets.import.run

Automation

• Changes on this screen are written to the asset audit trail and the asset timeline.
