Stock Settings
Global stock behaviour.
Overview
Stock Settings holds the company-wide stock options. One of them lets products go negative even when a product’s own flag is off; by default it is off, so issuing more than is on hand is refused. Save the configuration when you change it.
When to use stock settings
- You decide company-wide stock rules.
Step by step
In the Inventory module open Config in the green navigation bar, then choose Stock Settings under Settings & Locations.

What you see on the screen
- Actions on the screen: Save Configurations, Skip — I’ll set it up manually, Start.
Permissions
These permission keys control access (granted to roles in Administration → Roles & Permissions):
- inventory.settings.read
- inventory.settings.update
- inventory.stock.adjust
- inventory.stock.read
- inventory.stock.value
