Currencies
The currencies you trade in and their exchange rates.
Overview
Each currency shows its code, name, symbol, rate against USD and when it was last updated, with an active toggle. Rates refresh automatically from a free provider every hour, or on demand with Fetch Live Rates, and documents use them as defaults.
When to use currencies
- You start invoicing in a new currency.
Step by step
In the Accounting module open Configuration in the green navigation bar, then choose Currencies under Accounting.

What you see on the screen
- Columns: FLAG & CODE, CURRENCY NAME, SYMBOL, USD EXCHANGE RATE, LAST UPDATED, ACTIVE TOGGLE, ACTIONS.
- Actions on the screen: Fetch Live Rates.

These permission keys control access (granted to roles in Administration → Roles & Permissions):
