QR Portal & Labels

Print QR labels for assets and control the public page a scan opens.

Overview

Each asset has a QR label that encodes its permanent identifier. Scanning it while signed in opens the full asset screen; scanning it without a login opens a limited public card with a button to report a fault. The public portal can be switched off, and an unknown or disabled asset gives an identical not-found response.

When to use qr portal & labels

• You want to label equipment so anyone can report a fault.
• You print label sheets for a site.

Step by step

1. 1Set up the portalIn Assets, open Configuration → Security → QR Portal & Labels and choose what the public card shows, or turn it off.

Permissions

These permission keys control access (granted to roles in Administration → Roles & Permissions):

• assets.qr.manage
• assets.asset.read

Automation

• Changes on this screen are written to the asset audit trail and the asset timeline.
